Hey, remember how I said a year ago that Capcom was obliterating everything Marvel vs. Capcom-related from PSN and XBLA? Well, the MvC:O and the Vita version of UMvC3 were both spared back then, but a few months later the Vita version of UMvC3 got removed, and now, MvC Origins will join those entries.

You have until December 31, 2014 (December 23 for PS3 owners) to give Capcpom your money for a blast from the past, because after that time, there will be zero trace of anything Marvel vs. Capcom-related. Which sucks, because the only way you could get MvC:O and MvC2 in this day and age were...well, to download them.

I'm lucky enough to own all of what I just mentioned, plus all MvC3 avatars and UMvC3 DLC, but stuff like this makes me hope that Capcom's next VS. title will consist entirely of Capcom franchises and characters (call it...Street Fighter vs. Capcom!). You know...Rival Schools. Darkstalkers. Monster Hunter. Mega Man X. Cyberbots. Resident Evil.

Oh, and as of this post, it's not on sale or anything. $14.99 for Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes and Marvel Super Heroes. I just wish that they would put the PS1 version of MvC so Mega Man can get his Magnetic Shockwave ability from the final boss and actually save that data to the Memory Card. Which arcade machines lack.
